Impeding Fertility: Israeli Authorities Crack Down on Jewish Women's Willingness to Date Wild Arab "Bad Boys" or Any Arab Young Men

A Tel Aviv Jewish man was found dead. He was beaten to death by two Jewish girls who were running around with a group of Arab young men. According to Jerusalem Post and many other newspapers and magazines, there is a new epidemic of interracial or interethnic dating among young Jewish women and Arab men. These Jewish teenagers find the young Arab men appealing and wild. Just like any youth from any other countries and times, they want to defy local authorities. They want to do what they feel like doing despite all the indoctrination and education. Many are saying that the new emigrees to Israel are falling victims of these types of exploitative relationships. Those who are called "Russian Women" came from the former Soviet countries. They are of Jewish origins. They may not have been educated like the others in the do's and dont's of dating local boys out of the limits of their settlement.

Israeli authorities and Zionist men and women are not in agreement with this type of liaison between Arab and Jewish couples. So new groups of Vigilantes are being born all over the country. They are reporting on these types of relationships. The vigilantes are cruising all over Lover's lanes to try to discourage Jewish girls from being romanced by Arab men. The Jewish teenagers are approached by Arab men all the time. Mixed dating is a growing epidemic in the settlements built around or near camps.

In the very rare cases where Jewish and Arab couples manage to be in a relationship, they have to travel to a foreign country if they need to get married. Upon their return, their marriage can be recognized. "“Separation between Jews and Arabs is so ingrained in Israeli society, it is surprising that anyone manages to escape these central controls," said a Haifa University Sociology professor.

The Vigilantes hope to embarass the Jewish teenagers enough that they will eventually leave their Arab boyfriends. Are these Vigilantes acting like the Aryans or Jim Crow which enforced anti-miscegenation laws by killing, beating and keeping Blacks away from Whites?

Jonathan Cook has noted that "....since the state’s founding in 1948, analysts have noted, a series of legal and administrative measures have been taken by Israel to limit the possibilities of close links developing between Jewish and Arab citizens, the latter comprising a fifth of the population.

Largely segregated communities and separate education systems mean that there are few opportunities for young Arabs and Jews to become familiarised with each other. Even in the handful of “mixed cities”, Arab residents are usually confined to separate neighbourhoods."
